Few backyard birds are as beloved as the Black-capped Chickadee. The boldly patterned chickadee is perky, trusting--and it even seems to introduce itself by calling out its name! There are several sounds made by chickadees, but one of the most characteristic is the chick-a-dee-dee-dee from which they get their name.
Come join FALPS and Master Wildlife Conservationist and bird expert Fred Lowman for an enlightening program on one of the most beloved songbirds, the black-capped chickadee.
Come early and you can take a hike on one of the many trails in Peoples State Forest or on the Henry Buck Trail in American Legion State Forest.
