The Society is planning a Holiday House Tour on Dec. 8 from 1-5 pm in the Glastonbury Historic District. Glastonbury, CT has more than 150 original 18th century homes and buildings - the second
greatest concentration of historical homes behind only Marblehead, Mass. The Historical Society of Glastonbury’s house tours are conducted every 2-3 years and are both the most popular public event as well as biggest fundraiser. The 2016 House Tour was a huge success.
Please consider supporting this unique event. Tickets will go on sale at the end of September 2018. Every attendee receives a keepsake house tour booklet (4.25 x 5.5) with map, house descriptions, and pictures that also serves as a ticket for the event.
The buildings will be decorated for the season. Holiday House Tours of the past have been outstanding events for HSG and the Town, and we expect nothing less this time around. We will need a lot of volunteers at each house in two-hour shifts, thus allowing volunteers to visit the homes on the tour. We are still acquiring homes and planning the event, but we would be delighted to accept volunteers now. If you are interested, please call Jim at the Museum. 860-633-6890
